Deborah Bunting

Arts and Community Engagement

Deborah Bunting is an arts consultant who works at the intersection of arts and community engagement. She is working with Joslyn Art Museum as a special projects coordinator, with a focus on community outreach. For many years, she worked as Community Development Manager at the Nebraska Arts Council, directing programs and services that enriched Nebraska’s arts organizations and their communities. She has served on numerous grant review panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, as a reader for the National Endowment’s Challenge America Program and participated on various state and private foundation panels. She is also involved in the Kennedy Center’s LEAD program (Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability) to ensure the arts are accessible to all. She is also a textile artist whose work has been featured in exhibitions throughout the state and is in private collections. She currently serves on the board of the Omaha Community Foundation.
